STEM Parent Information Meeting
We are currently exploring the possibility of transitioning Westview from a Technology Focus School to a STEM focus school. Our staff has spent some time discussing this as a possible fit for our school. We have visited Preston Middle School in Fort Collins to view their model. They are a successful STEM Middle School.
On Monday, May 21 at 7:00 PM in the Library we will have a Parent Meeting to discuss STEM. This will be an opportunity for parents to learn a little more about STEM and also help provide some input into our decision process.
TEDxYouth@MileHigh
This sounds like a great event for students, ages 12 - 22, to attend who are interested in hearing from 10 renowned Colorado innovators and changemakers who will share their big ideas and explore solutions to the world's greatest challenges. It takes place on June 1. Check it out and if you go, report back to Mr. LaCrosse on what your learned.

Pathway to the Future
In conjunction with our 20th Anniversary, the Westview Middle School community is creating a commemorative Pathway to the Future. This pathway will be made up of custom 6x6 tiles to be installed on our hallway walls. The tiles will be designed and created by Westview students. To order a personalized tile, please complete this form and return it to the office.
2012-13 Fundraising
Our plan for a schoolwide fundraiser to support technology and students at Westview is to have our annual magazine sale in late August and early September. We will also run a donation non-a-thon during this fundraiser as well. Donations will count towards prizes awarded during the fundraiser. Please read this Save Our Subscription Flyer for more details on the magazine part of the fundraiser. If you have magazines and would like to renew, please wait to do that until this fundraiser. The cost will be the same and part of the money will support Westview.
Bolder Boulder
